About Us
Boston Chassidus was founded more than 100 years ago in Boston Massachusets by the first Rebbe R' Pinchas David Halevi Horowitz Zt"l. The Rebbe came from a distinguished lineage of Chassidishe Rebbes notably the Rebbe R' Shmelke of Nikulshburg, The Barditchiver Rav, and The Heilige Chozeh from Lublin. The Rebbe grew up in Yerushalayim by the holy R' Duvid'l Biderman of Lelov who was his uncle and principle Rebbe, hence the close relationship to the Lelov dynasty going back to the Rebbe's grandfather R' Eluzer Mendel, his father R' Moshe and finally R' Duvid'l Lelover.
Arriving in America in 1917 the Rebbe gained a large following of Yidden who remembered the Alter Heim or the previous tzadikim and found in the Rebbe a continuation to that world. The Rebbe eventually moved to New York and was succeeded by his son R' Moshe Zt"l in NY. R' Moshe became Rebbe in 1942 during those very difficult times, and inspired a generation of Yidden with his beautiful way of serving Hashem. His Davening and Niggunim were renowed for thier beauty and sweetness. He taught by example how to live with Hashem at all times and conduct oneself with that awareness of standing before the King.
Davening
Boston is renowed for the beautiful sweet Davening.
Now, as always, Cong Neimus Moshe is your home.
